Your resume...

Many resumes still look like a series of job descriptions which means anyone with the same experience looks equally qualified for the position you're interested in. What sets you apart from the competition? Your resume needs to identify your accomplishments  and this is also supported by Google's Laszlo Bock in this article. And here's a similar message offered by UBC to new graduates. These statements need to say what you accomplished, how you did it and what was the tangible measurable result. This process is more difficult than it sounds - most of us are not natural boasters but start with thinking about a time you really shone, a time where you "saved the day", or were recognized for going beyond what was required. Need some help? Book a complimentary 15 minute Helpout session sending your statement in advance and we'll help you wordsmith it.
